Ever since the first eReader was introduced, publishing industry prophets have been emerging from the social media wilderness proclaiming: “the print book is dead, and it’s the eBook that killed it.” Although it must be said that, like most bibliophiles, we have an unwavering affinity for the printed word, we at The Head & The Hand Press feel that this debate between digital and analog misses the point. In our opinion, a well-crafted book is a well-crafted book no matter the format.

Our craft publishing ethos is to foster intensive collaboration between our writers, editors, marketers, and readers to collectively build books, piece by piece, from when the first word hits the page to when the first copy leaves the shelf.  We think our current titles reflect this ethos.
