BIBLE BELT RELEASE PARTY

  • Circle of Hope 2007 Frankford Avenue Philadelphia, PA, 19125 United States (map)

Please join The Head & The Hand Press on June 25th at Circle of Hope Church in Fishtown as we celebrate the release of our newest installment in our ongoing almanac series, the much anticipated Bible Belt Almanac.

To celebrate this blessed evening, we will have Adam Teterus reading from his cross-media work "The Dark Matter Sequential" and H&H alum Sarah Grey reading from her short story "The Battle." To cap off the night, Catherine A. Brereton graciously provided us with audio files of her reading snippets from her photoessay, "Sending Apple Pies to Alaska: The Spiritual Life of Hannah Hamilton Adams." H&H's founder, Nic Esposito, will read additional excerpts live, accompanied by projected images of Hannah Hamilton Adams's life in West Liberty, Kentucky taken by Hannah's granddaughter, Kopana.

And if that wasn't enough, we are inviting the audience to set the order of the readers through our "Answer the Great Question" game where religious themed questions will be asked that relate to each readers story, and whenever an answer is answered correctly, the story that corresponds to the correct answer will be read. So strap on your Sunday school best and worry not, H&H will not employ rulers for wrong answers. We'll just have refreshments, merriment and the joy of one more almanac in the world.

Catherine A. Brereton is from England, but moved to America in 2008.
